This person will be operating in the Business Area TOMRA Fresh within TOMRA Food. 

Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a customer centric Solutions Engineer to join our Melbourne or South Australia team. 
Our solutions engineers engage with our customers directly to support our sales team on various projects. This includes providing layouts and designs for fruit handling and packing solutions that are fit-for-purpose, market relevant, profitable and meet our customer's needs. 
 

In this role you will: 

  • Manage the assigned designs for customer projects in the produce industry with emphasis on functional performance, systems design, project cost, availability and reliability within the specified deadline. 
  • Participate in the sales, development and evaluation of systems design in process facility for customers. 
  • Write specifications and technical analysis reports necessary to study and produce systems design concepts. 
  • Perform conceptualization, layout, design, and assemblies in 2D AutoCAD & 3D Inventor. 
  • Create technical data packages for production of the systems layout designs. 
  • Diagnose systems process, machine efficiencies, and determine root causes and corrective actions. 

Qualifications

About you 

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent engineering industry experience in automation or equipment. 
  • At least two years' experience in sales or service and enhancing the customer experience. 
  • Relevant experience analyzing data to determine best-fit solution for the end customer.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Experience using 2D & 3D design tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD and inventor
