Job Description
TOMRA Group IT is looking for a Global Sourcing and Procurement Lead to drive the sourcing and procurement of IT goods and services across our global organization. In this role, you will help ensure that supplier partnerships are commercially sound, compliant, and aligned with TOMRA's business strategy and digital ambitions.
You will serve as a trusted advisor on IT sourcing, supplier contracts, pricing models, and commercial negotiations, while driving supplier governance, cost optimization, and value creation across Group IT. Working closely with stakeholders across IT, business divisions, and external partners, you will help TOMRA leverage its global scale, strengthen supplier relationships, and ensure effective procurement practices.
As this is a newly established role, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the function and influence how sourcing and supplier management are developed across Group IT. You will collaborate closely with the Group IT Leadership Team and work alongside the IT Controller on procurement, financial management, and cost governance activities.
Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will work across functions and regions, monitor supplier and technology market trends, and continuously identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes, mitigate risk, and support TOMRA's continued digital development.
This role is based at TOMRA's global headquarters in Asker and reports directly to the SVP Head of Group IT.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Drive TOMRA's IT sourcing strategy and continuously develop sourcing, procurement, and supplier management practices across the organization.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage the full lifecycle of supplier agreements, including negotiations, contract renewals, performance management, and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships that create business value, support innovation, and ensure sustainable collaboration.
- Monitor technology, supplier, and market trends to identify opportunities that strengthen TOMRA's technology landscape and business performance.
Commercial Excellence & Cost Optimization
- Drive commercial value through effective supplier governance, contract management, and spend optimization.
- Manage external supplier spend and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and IT controlling activities across Group IT.
- Establish and track relevant KPIs related to supplier performance, procurement effectiveness, and cost efficiency.
- Balance business needs, commercial opportunities, and risk considerations to support sound decision-making and long-term value creation.
Business Partnership & Governance
- Collaborate closely with Group IT functions, business divisions, and key stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements and ensure successful execution.
- Act as a trusted advisor on sourcing strategies, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract terms.
- Ensure sourcing and procurement activities comply with TOMRA policies, security requirements, and relevant regulations while promoting consistent governance and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sourcing, procurement, and supplier management capabilities across Group IT.
Qualifications
Technical & Professional Background
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience in IT sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or commercial vendor management.
- Proven experience managing supplier contracts and conducting commercial negotiations.
- Understanding of IT services, software licensing, infrastructure, and technology sourcing models.
- Experience with budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis.
We are looking for a commercially minded professional who combines strategic thinking with strong analytical skills and a structured approach to execution. You are comfortable working in a global environment, managing multiple priorities, and building strong relationships across functions, cultures, and stakeholder groups. As a trusted advisor, you are able to influence decisions and drive progress through collaboration, communication, and credibility rather than formal authority.
You have a strong business orientation and are motivated by creating measurable value for the organization. You are curious about technology developments, supplier markets, and emerging trends, and you enjoy identifying opportunities that improve business outcomes. With a pragmatic and resilient mindset, you are able to balance cost, quality, risk, and long-term business needs while navigating complexity and change. Strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken, are essential for success in this role.
