Job Description

We are currently seeking a Project procurement buyer to join our team in Senec.

The Project Procurement Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities for specific projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Project-Based Procurement:
    • Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with project schedules and requirements.
    • Source & negotiate suppliers for project-specific materials and services.
    • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual terms.
    • Agree on sourcing strategy (preferred suppliers, terms & conditions, etc.) in close co-operation with Commodity Procurement.
    • Management of new components including prototypes: prepare supplier selection, identify suppliers, benchmark suppliers, call sourcing team to approve sourcing decision.
    • Assures that the Procurement Commodity Strategy, Approved Supplier List and supplier part allocation strategy are considered and respected in the NPI project.

 

  • Cost Control & Reporting:
    • Track procurement costs and contribute to budget control.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to project and procurement leadership.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
    • Perform cost analysis: develop cost models & compare with other products & projects.

 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with project managers, engineering, finance, and operations.
    • Participate in project meetings and contribute to procurement strategy discussions.
    • Ensure alignment between procurement activities and overall project goals.

 

  • Supplier Management:
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on capability, reliability, capacity and cost.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance and resolve issues.
    • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews.

 

  • Risk Management:
    • Mitigate risks by ensuring proper documentation, warranties, and service level agreements.
    • Support claims and dispute resolution processes when necessary.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a project-based environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in procurement and/or project management.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical sourcing
  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with international sourcing incl. cost analysis and logistics.
  • Fluent in English and Slovak (B1–B2 level)
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, paired with strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools, with solid knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier evaluation
