TOMRA Food is seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Manager, Middle East & Africa to lead one of our fastest growing business units in the Middle East and Africa. This role combines sales leadership, market development, and people management, with responsibility for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and scaling a high-performing regional team. 

As the regional Sales Manager, you will be a key member of the EMEA Sales Management Team, shaping regional strategy and delivering results across diverse markets and industries. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a regional go-to-market strategy to maximise growth and profitability, with a focus on process vegetables and potato business, nuts & dried fruits, citrus, and expansion into new markets. 
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers to achieve individual, team, and regional sales targets. 
  • Grow existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities across fragmented customer bases, including farmers, processors, and mixed industrial clients. 
  • Track, analyse, and report on key sales metrics, pipeline, and forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management. 
  • Act as a senior escalation point for critical customer issues, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution. 
  • Drive customer engagement initiatives, including site visits, trade shows, and technical demonstrations, fostering brand awareness and market credibility. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Pre-Sales, Service, Marketing, Finance, Legal) to deliver a seamless customer experience. 
  • Lead by example to build a high-performing, motivated, and accountable regional team, promoting open communication, feedback, and continuous development. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, governance, and operating standards while championing TOMRA’s Code of Conduct and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Qualifications

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in capital sales within industrial processing sectors in the region. 
  • Proven track record of sales leadership and team management in food processing or related industries. 
  • Experience managing fragmented customer bases across multiple markets. 
  • Strong technical understanding relevant to machinery, automation, or industrial processing. 
  • Languages: English (required), Arabic (major advantage), with Turkish and French are also useful. 
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate vision into execution. 
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial discipline. 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural leadership skills. 
  • Ability to build, motivate, and scale high-performing teams. 
  • Collaborative mindset, working effectively across markets, cultures, and functions. 
  • Willingness to travel: approximately 60 days per year if based in a regional hub or 100 days per year if based outside the key hubs.
