Job Description

What We’re Looking For 

As Sustainability Strategy Manager you will be supporting the organization with executing on our sustainability targets by incorporating a business mindset into our sustainability strategy. Building on the strong foundation of knowledge, capacity, and goal-setting established across the company over recent years, you will support TOMRA Collection toward net zero.  

The Sustainability Strategy Manager reports to the Head of Sustainability at TOMRA Collection and is part of the Strategy & Sustainability team located at TOMRA HQ in Asker, Norway. 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Support the organization to deliver on TOMRA Collection’s sustainability strategy and targets: Set targets and enable action across the organization to make sure targets are met. Support decision making with business cases, ROI analysis of sustainability initiatives incorporating financial and non-financial data like cost, revenue and CO2 
  • Own the decarbonization roadmap: Identify potential pathways to decrease our emissions through analysis and data improvement, provide structure for tracking our performance, use scenario modeling and build knowledge to guide the organization 
  • Use a strategic approach and business mindset: Identify and drive new opportunities on an international scale, in line with our business and sustainability ambitions  
  • Report status towards our sustainability goals: Communicate progress to key stakeholders, including employees, leadership teams, TOMRA Group 
  • Drive and manage change: Motivate employees and leaders, provide sustainability expertise, build competence and develop solutions to make lasting change 
  • Embed sustainability into operations: Continuously find and support new ways to integrate sustainability into our regular operations 

Qualifications

We do belive you have:

  • Relevant master’s degree (within economics, finance, strategy or similar) 
  • Experience from consulting, strategy, controlling business development or similar 
  • Proven sustainability expertise 

We also believe you to be a strong communicator and that you enjoy presenting in English. You have the experience with leading projects and reporting to different stakeholders. 

Personal attributes: 

  • Ability to approach tasks with a structured, and analytical mindset 
  • Self-driven and comfortable finding solutions in uncertainty  
  • Comfortable with shaping new processes and ways of working
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with being hands-on in delivering results and quality
