Product Manager Recycling* (1-Year Contract)

  • Full-time

Company Description

Why TOMRA?

At TOMRA, we’re driven by purpose: creating a world where every resource counts.

As a global leader in optical and sensor-based sorting technology, we’re helping reshape industries like waste management, recycling, and food processing - empowering a more sustainable, circular economy. Our solutions recover valuable materials, reduce waste, and significantly lower environmental impact. Simply put: our technology helps make the world cleaner.

But it’s not just what we do - it’s how we do it.

A Culture That Values People Over Hierarchy

At TOMRA, we combine the innovation of a global tech company with the warmth and openness of a close-knit team. Our roots are Norwegian, and so is our approach: flat hierarchies, open dialogue, and mutual respect. Titles matter less than impact. We trust our people, value their voices, and support them to grow.

Purposeful Innovation

At TOMRA, we believe technology should help build a better future. By using smart sensor technology, we help make recycling and resource recovery more accurate, efficient, and effective. This means less waste, fewer emissions, and smarter use of our planet’s resources.

We’re proud to create solutions that not only help businesses but also make a real difference for people and the environment.

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Product Manager to take the lead on a key product area during an exciting 12-month period of growth and evolution.

This fixed-term opportunity is a parental leave cover, giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact within a well-established team and product line. You’ll work at the forefront of circular economy innovation, helping define solutions that are reshaping the global recycling industry.

What You’ll Do

As Product Manager, you’ll take ownership of product strategy, development, and launch activities for one of our core areas. You will:

  • Define and manage product and market requirements for new solutions and feature enhancements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to set priorities, define scope, and bring new product lines to life.
  • Plan and execute product launches in partnership with marketing, sales, engineering, and service teams.
  • Manage and evolve the product portfolio in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and expand innovative solutions for the recycling sector.
  • Stay close to our markets and customers to understand emerging trends, pain points, and unmet needs.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, natural sciences, economics, or a comparable field.
  • Ideally 4+ years of experience in product management or a similar role — but we care more about your skills and mindset than ticking every box.
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.
  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to deliver value.
  • A strong interest in technology, sustainability, and working closely with customers.
  • Willingness to travel and develop a deep understanding of global market dynamics.
