Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of engineering materials, equipment, and services necessary for our projects. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, procurement processes, and supplier management.

What You'll Do:

  • Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process for engineering materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project managers to ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Work Arrangement & Travel Requirements:
    Hybrid work model with a mix of remote and in-office presence. Occasional travel is required to meet with suppliers, primarily in Spain and across the EMEA region. Travel may include overnight stays and is estimated at approximately 10–20%, though this may vary depending on business needs (typically around once per month).

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering procurement or a related role.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of engineering principles, procurement processes, and supplier management.
  • Language: Spanish C2 and English B2 (Communication mainly with Spanish suppliers, and to a lesser extent with other European suppliers.)
