Job Description

Maintain, service and repair TOMRA's pioneering Reverse Vending Machine (RVM), and bulk sorting equipment positioned around the general Western Melbourne area to ensure it achieves maximum operational performance. TOMRA is the global market leader in sorting technology and provides its employees with best in class training and development to be able to service and maintain this equipment to the highest standard. 

This is a field-based position and may require regular driving between locations so it is important that our employees maintain a clean driving record & a love for being hands on in a highly autonomous environment, whilst supported by a great team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Servicing and maintaining installed equipment including conveyors, sensors, motors, mobile comms and other equipment.
  • Reporting on service assignments and faults
  • Installing kiosks and bulk processing equipment at new sites
  • Providing excellent customer service to our partners and members of the public
  • Analyse areas of potential improvement of products and report to local service team
  • Undertake cleaning of equipment

Qualifications

To be a successful Field Service Technician you will have:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate III OR Disconnect-Reconnect Certificate OR Mechanical/ Electrical Trade background.
  • A great personality with previous experience interacting with customers in person.
  • Very strong diagnostic and analytical skills in relation to mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment maintenance
  • Experience in troubleshooting faults with electronic components and the ability to replace circuit boards, sensors, and other electronic components
  • Unrestricted driver’s license and willing to submit a full driving history record, federal police check and medical.
  • Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends.
