Job Description
We are seeking a Recycling Engineer, internally referred to as an 'Application Developer', to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and testing technical prototypes for our sorting machines. From initial feasibility studies to internal and external field tests, you will be involved in every stage of development until handover to serial production. Collaboration within our dynamic, interdisciplinary team is essential for success in this role.
Your tasks:
- Develop and test technical prototypes up to industrialized full sorting machines:
- Conduct feasibility studies for recycling applications;
- Work with laboratory, test and analyzing equipment;
- Test new products and (software)-tools;
- Ensure final acceptance and approval of prototypes for production.
- Technical Project Management for allocated projects.
- Provide training to production and service staff on new machines.
- Support field trials and market introductions at customer sites globally.
Qualifications
- Master or diploma degree in waste management, environmental engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in recycling processes.
- Basic technical understanding of sensor-based technology.
- Eagerness to stay updated on emerging trends in sensor-based technology, such as Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) and Melt Flow Index (MFI).
- Basic knowledge of electronics and mechanical design.
- Familiarity with project management and industrial economics.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- At least basic proficiency in German.
