From the beginning, TOMRA has invested substantially in developing sorting technology geared to the needs of a changing world. TOMRA Sorting technology increases the waste-stream yield by ensuring consistent quality of output, enhances production line flexibility and allows material composition to be monitored to improve grading of fractions. At TOMRA, our flexible sorting systems function effectively with an extremely wide variety of material streams. They successfully perform an extensive range of sorting tasks and are able to both prepare and sort material of metals and waste for either mechanical recycling or energy recovery.

Developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.

Planning and scheduling repairs.

Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.

Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies.

Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard

Perform maintenance of TOMRA JIGs and equipment, including electrical systems

Reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, electrical schematics, blueprints, service manuals, and work instructions to perform required maintenance work

(Dis)assembling/installing new machines, condition monitoring sensors, equipment, etc.

Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix broken parts, replace parts... etc.)

Troubleshooting

Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management

Ensure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reported

Contribute to continuous improvement activities

Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed

Secondary technical education

A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and other systems

Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
