Position Overview:

TOMRA is hiring a Finance Manager for its office in Senec, Bratislava, Slovakia.

The job holder has the overall responsibility for the accounting / budgeting & reporting of the TOMRA Recycling Slovak subsidiary and ensures that all legal requirements are met.

The job holder will have the opportunity to build the finance & accounting area of a growing subsidiary.

Job Description

Overall responsibility for the full spectrum of accounting with external support (tax & payroll services):

  • Responsible for both local and group-level accounting
  • You will receive support from Accountants, who together with you will successfully complete the monthly and year-end closing with various bookings and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Processing and booking of general accounting transactions (not limited to payroll, A/P invoices, bank, accruals, ...) 
  • Single point of contact and responsible for collaboration with external Bank, Tax, Legal partners.
  • Single point of contact for external auditors
  • Prepare local entity budgets;
  • Prepare and oversee monthly and yearly group and local management reporting;
  • Complete ad hoc financial analysis and reporting when required;
  • Assist with process implementation & reviews to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place according to group policy;
  • Ensure compliance of accounting & business practices according to local and group legislation/policies;
  • Ad hoc projects within the team;
  • Supporting role for local insurance, car fleet and HR topics.
  • You report to the Head of Financial Controlling of the TOMRA Recycling Division.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience within a similar role;
  • Fluency in Slovak and English is a must;
  • Experience of managing full end to end accounting functions;
  • Highly numerate and strong analysis skills with attention to details;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • An advocate of quality and continual improvement;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge in IFS and/or Cognos is an asset;
  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA is an asset.
