Job Description

TOMRA Processed Food are looking for an Area Sales Manager for the food industry.

We offer a challenging position in an open, friendly and global environment where we help each other to develop and create value. Your work will have a big impact on TOMRA and its employee’s future success. The position will be working out of home office and travelling regularly to meet and interact with new and existing customers. 

The purpose of this position is to find real opportunities and secure sales within the German region.

You are highly motivated by customer interactions in a complex technical environment and you are a strong networker and influencer with the ability to create, develop and maintain strong customer relations. You have a professional approach and attitude towards your work and possess strong communication skill´s which allows you to interact across many levels. 

About the job: 

You will be responsible for developing several accounts within Food industry such as  agriculture, processing of potato, vegetable, fruits and protein. You will be working with TOMRA  optical sorting technologies. 

You will be part of a dynamic global team which will support and aide in your growth and development as a Sales Manager.  

Key tasks:

  • Regular customer visits and interaction by visits, calls, teams, and test work 
  • Maintain and foster close relationships with customers, major key accounts and partners like agents and line integrators
  • Proactively work with your sales planning in a structured and consistent manner. 
  • Build a robust sales pipeline and work to achieve sales targets 
  • Assist with planning and preparing for trade shows and company events. Represent TOMRA professionally at industry events  
  • Ability to establish rapport quickly with colleagues and develop productive relationships  
  • Takes initiative to build and strengthen relationships with colleagues and customers 

We are looking for: 

  • University degree 
  • Experience from B2B 
  • Experience from processing industries ideally from the food industry
  • Networker & communicator at all levels 
  • Relation builder that can create strong partnerships 
  • Down to earth and open, honest communicator 
  • Analytical thinker, able to implement a structured approach 
  • Result oriented and eager to learn by listening to customers needs
