Job Description

This position works with the allocated Project Managers to oversee and complete the installation of TOMRA Fresh Food projects and integration of third party equipment to ensure our customers experience a seamless installation that exceeds their expectations. 

As well as overseeing installation this role is required to be “hands on” completing technical installation tasks as set down by project plans.

When not working on install project this role is required to be part of the Regional Field Service team support TOMRA equipment in the field in terms of maintenance and break fix.

Main Responsibilities

Installation

  • Collaborate with the assigned project manager on an install project plan, sequencing activities and local resource scheduling
  • Lead the team of installers to complete consistent quality installation in line with the applicable project plan. This includes daily task scheduling, tool box meetings and overseeing quality workmanship
  • Undertake technical installation and fabrication work as set down by project plans, this could be onsite or offsite
  • Lead, monitor and maintain the highest level of installation and customer service quality at all times
  • Coordinate with TOMRA supply chain and local suppliers for additional parts and integration ensuring the solution is cost effective and in line with customer expectations
  • To identify and resolve install issues, making sure guidance is given to installers when and where required
  • Provide regular reporting on installation progress ensuring that any issues are resolved or escalated to project managers as necessary
  • Research into upcoming projects to assist Project Manager identify spec, design, supply issues

Documentation

  • Ensure all install documentation, including project plans, safe operating procedures, installation guides and manuals are complete before commencement
  • Complete final installation documentation so that there is an accurate record of the installation for reference by other TOMRA Fresh Food team members
  • Ensure that at the conclusion of installation all hand over documentation is provided to the commissioning and / or field service teams

Field Service Repair and Maintenance (where required)

  • Provide pre-season services for TOMRA solutions on customer sites, support for set up of TOMRA equipment or help troubleshoot installed solutions and perform a full range of servicing and repair service procedures including diagnostics, on assigned equipment. 

Qualifications

  • Previous demonstrated experience in either the mechanical or electrical assembly of large scale plant equipment
  • A formal trade qualification (regional) mechanical or equivalent
  • Elec/Electronic engineering attribute
  • Sound Microsoft and PC knowledge and skills
  • Able to lift <15 kg weight
  • Energy and commitment
  • Successful experience planning daily and weekly activities of a small team
  • Role Team Leader experience (small team)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for the duration of assigned installation projects.  Up to 80%.
