Position Overview

TOMRA is currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Germany. You will be responsible for customer service (commissioning, operation, testing, integration, maintenance, training, and repair) of our recycling sorters located at our customers' facilities all around the world.

For this position, we are looking for candidates who reside in Germany or are willing to relocate. This position is ideal for the aspiring adventurer who loves to travel, meet people from different cultures and is not afraid to take on new technical challenges! Job Description

  • Field service assignments worldwide, mostly Europe;
  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of sensor-based sorters at customer’s sites;
  • Conducting training for customers and service colleagues;
  • Ensuring a good customer experiences through clear and effective communication;
  • Providing customer support using various means.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship/ Technical training in: Electronics / Electro-technical / Mechanics / Industrial maintenance or similar
  • OR

  • Relevant experience in on-site preventive and curative maintenance by supporting industry customers as a maintenance technician/specialist or service engineer;
  • Willingness to travel worldwide at least 80% of the time;
  • You can travel around Europe without restrictions;
  • You have a valid car license;
  • You have a solid technical foundation, particularly in electricity (reading electrical diagrams and plans, API/PLC electrical automation);
  • You are at ease with computer programs / PC configuration;
  • You are fluent in English language, German or other languages is a plus;
  • You are based in Germany or willing to relocate;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, internal and external associates, and management.

Will be made available to you: a company car, a laptop, a telephone, as well as the necessary tools and PPE (personal protective equipment), tax-free double rate for food expenses for all travel locations.

You will receive all the necessary training at our training center in Germany, as well as practical application in the field.
