Job Description

Reporting to the PMO Manager, the NSW Project Manager is responsible for delivering new projects to the business, consisting of multiple, short program, quick turn-around projects - including the fitout of new indoor return points, the installation of new technology in existing return points and the main infrastructure of the network. The key requirements of the role are to work with all relevant stakeholders, internal & external, to ensure they are informed, engaged and have appropriate expectations throughout the course of all projects. The role oversees all requirements in NSW, managing and leading a team to deliver all installations and site works for the TOMRA network in NSW.

As a successful candidate, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that they are informed, engaged and have appropriate expectations throughout the course of the project.  Leading a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, you will oversee the delivery of all installations and siteworks in the NSW network.

The main duties of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and leading the NSW PMO Team to deliver all network requirements in NSW. Including, removals, relocations, installs of all return point types 
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the PMO for NSW, including TOMRA partners and key stakeholders.
  • Obtaining all approvals required for the sites to be delivered to the business including planning approvals and building quotes and confirming suitability of opportunities and site works required.
  • Managing the cost, schedule, resourcing, subcontractor deliverables and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. 
  • Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to all key stakeholders, both internal & external  
  • Managing and developing project proposals with the support of technical and commercial teams
  • Demonstrate high-level project management skills using a pragmatic approach to any issues that arise 

This position is a Fixed-Term Contract

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years hands-on experience in a Project Management role 
  • Relevant qualification in Building & Construction and/or Project Management
  • Previous experience leading a project team
  • Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines including OH&S 
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, confidently and efficiently managing overall master project deliverables
  • Knowledge on how to effectively manage design and town planning processes 
  • Experience with internal and external stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills conducive to building effective relationships 
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Australian driver’s license, access to a vehicle and able to travel across NSW as required
