Position overview

  • You will be the expert of process automation in the Recycling Digital Solutions team.
  • The scope of your work will cover all aspects of closing the control loop optimizing the machine performance based on data and integrating our equipment into the plant control systems of customers.
  • You will work in a dynamic, international, and cross-functional team where a strong cooperation with other working groups within the TOMRA Recycling branch is required.
  • Some travelling will be required.

Job Description

  • Planning and defining the data interfaces between PLCs and PCs as well to other hardware components, especially towards the plant control systems.
  • Support the project management department during the offer phase and the project realization on process control system integration.
  • Support the service department, if necessary, in the event of troubleshooting and technical questions around process control system integration.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Solutions team on closing the control loop to optimize sorter and process operation based on data collected in our cloud-based platform TOMRA Insight.
  • Altering and extending of existing wiring diagrams for individual customer orders and realization of special customer requirements on request.
  • Potentially programming of PLCs using Siemens TIA Portal corresponding to specified requirements.

Qualifications

  • Requires an excellent Bachelor degree or a Master degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or related fields and 3-5 years work experience.
  • Ability to work in a team, interdisciplinary, and independently.
  • Good interaction skills with the customer and company's employees
  • Analytic capability of thinking.
  • Good technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and follow-up skills.
  • Flexibility to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • At least basic knowledge of German.
  • Open minded regarding new technologies and tools.
