requires the services of an Accounts/Admin Officer

Job Description

This role will be responsible for:

Accounting functions

  • Interpreting financial information
  • Monitoring cash flows
  • Formulating strategic and long-term business plans
  • Reporting factors influencing business performance
  • Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction and cost optimization opportunities
  • Managing financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
  • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the FIRS and LIRS
  • Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
  • Providing insights on the financial health of the organisation.
  • Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
  • Communicating with clients regarding billing and payments
  • Managing the payroll of the company

Administrative functions

  • Ensure office is stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is working and properly maintained
  • Handle staff welfare and HR administrative functions
  • Liaise with internal staff at all levels.
  • Review operating practices and implement improvements where necessary
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the office

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A Bachelors Degree in accountancy from a reputable Institution, or in the Sciences or Social Sciences with a minimum of a Second Class degree and an accounting qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position in the Service Industry.
  • Proficiency in the use of Accounting software and Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • Organisational and Planning Skills, Analytical and Problem-solving Skills.
  • Be no more than 35 years of age.
