requires the services of an Accounts/Admin Officer
Job Description
This role will be responsible for:
Accounting functions
- Interpreting financial information
- Monitoring cash flows
- Formulating strategic and long-term business plans
- Reporting factors influencing business performance
- Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
- Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction and cost optimization opportunities
- Managing financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
- Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the FIRS and LIRS
- Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
- Providing insights on the financial health of the organisation.
- Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
- Communicating with clients regarding billing and payments
- Managing the payroll of the company
Administrative functions
- Ensure office is stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is working and properly maintained
- Handle staff welfare and HR administrative functions
- Liaise with internal staff at all levels.
- Review operating practices and implement improvements where necessary
- Oversee the smooth operation of the office
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have:
- A Bachelors Degree in accountancy from a reputable Institution, or in the Sciences or Social Sciences with a minimum of a Second Class degree and an accounting qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position in the Service Industry.
- Proficiency in the use of Accounting software and Microsoft Office suite of tools.
- Organisational and Planning Skills, Analytical and Problem-solving Skills.
- Be no more than 35 years of age.
