Job Description

As a Corporate Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Corporate Customers as well as having oversight of the broader book supporting with the strategy for exposure management, arrears management along with devising policies and procedures.

You will work with the wider team to deliver appropriate risk strategies for existing Corporate Customers. Working to achieve a commercially balanced sustainable solution, assessing the credit position and identifying the right option suitable to meet both the Customer and business needs. This will include assessing new lending opportunities and maintaining an ongoing review of the Customer’s wider business to identify credit appetite.

In addition, you will support the internal Collections & Recoveries functions to reduce the number of non-performing cases by providing advice, guidance and insight and work with Sales Channels to support on new lending opportunities were additional skill & technical input is required.

As a Corporate Portfolio Manager, we are looking for someone to:

  • Develop relationships at all levels with senior stakeholders and existing Corporate Customers to enable successful business relationships in the future
  • Use product knowledge and market expertise to offer credit risk based solutions in order to build key relationships, reduce risk and increase business
  • Actively manage allocated corporate accounts by implementing credit strategies to effectively & efficiently minimise credit risk; providing solutions and creating potential lending opportunities where appropriate
  • Manage, track & analyse departmental data to support the decision making process
  • Work with the wider business to identify & manage horizon risks
  • Maintain strong & relevant industry knowledge across all asset type, sectors and regions
  • Support the management of the department by identifying process opportunities to improve the outcome for Customer and our business

Qualifications

Essential

  • Strong relationship management & negotiating skills
  • Expert knowledge of the commercial & residential lending market
  • Deep knowledge of credit management strategies

  • Good understanding of financial accounts & cash flow forecasts
