Job Description
Tiverton is seeking a proactive and resourceful Summer Analyst who can provide the highest quality financial and investment analysis for Tiverton, while also undertaking various other tasks endemic to a young, fast-growing company. The desired candidate will be a problem solver with the desire to work in a dynamic environment.
The Summer Analyst will be an integral part of the investment team of Tiverton and provide critical support to deal teams as they pursue challenging and creative capital and operational solutions to agriculture businesses. The successful Summer Analyst will be self-motivated and energized by working with a group of thoughtful, smart, and skilled colleagues. He or she will enjoy being a part of a young and hungry organization focused on becoming the pre-eminent investment firm in US agriculture.
- Analyze and conduct due diligence and underwriting on private investments (both credit and equity) in the US production agriculture sector
- Assist deal team in building and modifying cash flow, valuation, and transaction models
- Assist deal team in preparing investment memorandums, present recommendations and due diligence findings to internal committees and investors
- Perform and develop industry/sector research and analysis
- Provide investor support, including but not limited to portfolio management and reporting
- Support fundraising initiatives and investor needs
- Support other ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Seeking bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or other related majors
- Must be an MBA candidate or a rising senior/4th-year in a Bachelor's Degree program
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of transaction teams
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of integrity
- Dedicated work ethic and commitment to enhancing the team
- Outstanding organization, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to work for a dynamic and successful organization
