The Retail Services & Legal Affairs Department is dealing with all aspects of Tipico’s franchise business. The department is responsible for Contract Management, Accounting & Billing, Risk Management, Quality & Training (Retail) and Legal & Regulatory Affairs relating to our retail business. It issues contracts to Tipico’s franchise partners and is supervising all related franchisee activities including shop licencing, invoicing, commission calculation, payment behaviour, transaction risk assessment with Tipico’s terms and conditions as well as enforcing our AML and KYC policies within the retail business. It is also responsible for checking the franchise partners adherence to Tipico standards and all necessary trainings for franchise partners as well as shop employees.

Your pitch:

Risk assessment involves the objective analysis of a company's operations in order to determine potential hazards and liabilities. Once these issues are identified, risk teams are tasked with designing, implementing and monitoring processes necessary to protect the company’s assets. Risk assessment professionals are required by the business as we try to protect the company’s achievements and winnings, especially regarding AML compliance. Retail shops have to be monitored and put into categories according to the revenue they make and the potential risks they may bear.

Your daily playground:

  • Oversee the shop investigations and help to detect and prevent risk by analysing the suspicious activity in shops
  • Oversee and supervise AML monitoring, prevention and reporting activities
  • Supervise the analysis of fraud and risk trends, process gaps identification, risk prevention measures implementation and investigations tools
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reports regarding suspicious betting activity in shops and enable shop and franchise partner risk matrix
  • Assure shop and customer transaction risk assessment to reduce the financial loss to the business and mitigate instances of fraud and ML against the company
  • Provide assistance to the Head of Retail Services & Legal Affairs by identifying and implementing process improvement of analysis processes and procedures
  • Assist external financial and legal auditors
  • Manage and oversee all facets of risk and money laundry detection and prevention
  • Conduct and assist in compliance investigations, including fraud and AML
  • Conduct internal oversight, risk assessment and monitoring of testing reports
  • Continually develop and review processes to secure best practice
  • Liaise with management and other departments to improve, adapt to new regulations and ensure best practice in terms of authorisation and control is maintained
  • Communicate fully all situations that may affect the department’s ability to meet standards or deadlines
  • Be a proactive problem solver: able to find the root cause and propose solutions and take ownership of resolution with a can-do attitude
