Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

Stellenbeschreibung

The Tipico Finance team plans, organises, leads and monitors the financial and accounting affairs of Tipico group in Malta. The main areas covered by the finance department include the management of the online and retail financial operations, bookkeeping and accounting, provision of financial information, budgetary control and cash management.

Your daily playground:

  • Significant participation in the monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary, coordinating the various sources in line with reporting deadlines
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of the business costs, subsequently using acquired knowledge to monitor, report upon, and react to changes within the business
  • Maintain and develop various financial and business models, including budgeting, forecasting and analysis
  • Assist FP&A Manager in understanding the problem areas and in ways to mitigate the risk 
  • Ad hoc analyses as requested by executives and stakeholders
  • Ownership and thorough understanding of assigned area with ability to articulate and present information
  • Preparation of technical analysis in order to understand the nature of cost drivers in particular contracts and service level agreements

Qualifikationen

Which skills should you bring to the pitch:

  • Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with solid accounting knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience with particular emphasis on cost and financial reporting, planning, analysis and forecasting
  • Excellent Excel skills especially with regards to advanced functions, pivot tables and creating financial models
  • Work independently showing strong initiative, while understanding the necessity to communicate and coordinate with other employees and stakeholders
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to understand contracts, service delivery and financial impact on the business
  • Experience in facing off to senior management and building successful relationships
  • International experience would be an advantage
