Job Description

The Timmons Group Technology division is looking for a full-time, entry level UI/UX Designer for our Richmond, VA location to help turn our web and mobile applications into easy-to-use and visually appealing products for our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with internal project teams and our clients.
  • Illustrate design ideas using wireframes, process flows, and sitemaps.
  • Develop UI mockups and/or prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites will function and look.
  • Create original graphics and collateral (e.g., images, sketches, and tables).
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems and quickly resolve issues.
  • Incorporate layout adjustments based on user feedback.
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
  • Perform visual QA and work with developers to refine the look and feel of applications.
  • Assist with proposal and marketing content design and creation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in UI/UX design.
  • Experience with Microsoft products, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required
  • Experience with other design software such as Sketch, basic understanding of HTML and CSS, and iterative software development methodologies like Agile are a plus, but not required.
  • Experience working with remote teams and clients preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Experience working with remote teams and/or clients.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to provide direct and constructive feedback to both teams and individuals.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently.
