The VPoE will help Tiki’s vision to be the undisputed trusted brand in E-commerce. The VPoE must have strong leadership qualities with the desire to learn and contribute to more than just the technical side of the company. The priorities for this position include strategic planning, product design, quality assurance and problem resolution. The VPoE must execute product design to meet company objectives, partner with management and develop systems and controls to ensure compliance with quality standards. The VPoE will make an impact in strategy, operation and business development of the organization as a key member of the Leadership Team. The VPoE will ensure the company has the systems, procedures and people in place to support its rapid growth. He or she will also cooperate with all customer-focused departments which include TIKI Care, Operation, Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Merchandising to create the frictionless and engaging shopping experience for TIKI customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic planning and direction and control of TIKI software & system product development activities.
• Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, for all TIKI product development.
• Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet product development, per the product and/or marketing requirements document.
• Hire and direct staff of senior group member of all levels of engineering to acquire necessary resources and plan to meet business need.
• Build and develop engineering environment and culture for all TIKI engineers to work smoothly & effectively with all relevant parties and departments.
• Ensure implementation of software development processes to support the product development process.

Key Requirements:

• Strong operational and project management skills.
• Demonstrated team building and leadership skills.
• Solid understanding of software/system engineering technical issues/needs, financial, sales, and marketing as related to product design and development.
• At least 10 years engineering experience in IT/Internet industry, 5 years as management level.
• Bachelor in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required; Master Degree or higher is preferred.
