Business Analyst, Dispute Service

We are looking for a talented Business Analyst to support the ongoing development of our Dispute Service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing area within our Card Issuing unit.

In addition to SaaS-enabling our dispute service you will also be working with improvements related to our BPO delivery, where our Dispute Operations is an important stakeholder.

You will join the Dispute Product Management team, part of Product & Business Development CSS (Customer Support Services) within the Card Issuing unit at Tieto Banktech. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Product & Business Development for CSS.

What you will do: As a Business Analyst, you will act as the vital link between business stakeholders and development, ensuring that our dispute service meets expectations and delivers value. You will capture, analyze, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and follow them throughout the entire change lifecycle. You will also drive improvements in ways of working, enhance requirement specifications, and support a more structured approach to backlog, incident, and change management.

Key responsibilities:

· Capture, analyze, and document business requirements and processes

· Defining the 'what', ensuring the 'how' (technical implementation) serves the 'why' (business objective)

· Translate business needs into high-quality functional specifications

· Ensure solution proposals and deliveries align with actual business requirements that business needs are identified, analyzed, and translated into effective solutions and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.

· Collaborate with product management, development team, architects, dispute operations and when applicable customers on requirement handling and solution design.

· Identify gaps in requirements management and propose process improvements.

· Actively contribute to reducing backlog and improving delivery quality.

· Facilitate workshops, process mapping, and decision-making between business and development/IT.

· Ensure effective knowledge transfer across business, development and IT

 

Essential skills:

· Minimum 3 -5 years of experience as business analyst, solution consultant or product owner within banking or financial services

· Experience from the dispute area

· Experience from working with JIRA/WIKI

· Structured with ability to push initiatives forward

· Ability to analyze business processes/needs and translate them into specific functional requirements.

· Excellent interpersonal and writing skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders and creating clear, unambiguous documentation.

· Problem-Solving skills with the ability to address issues related to requirements and potential conflicts that arise during the product development process.

· Business acumen when it comes to the organization's activities and industry context to ensure functional specifications provide real business value

· Knowledge of software development processes and technical concepts to effectively communicate with development & IT teams

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field
