We are looking for a C/C++ RAN Telecom Software Engineer who wants to be part of Tieto Tech Consulting and join our growing R&D team. Tieto Tech Consulting works as a true partner, solving clients’ toughest technology challenges and delivering reliable outcomes that drive measurable results. As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of software features within your technical area. In this role, you will be responsible for software specification, implementation, integration, testing, and CI development. You will actively participate in designing and maintaining telecom software components used in 5G systems. Your main responsibilities will combine embedded software engineering, telecommunications theory, and practical protocol implementation in compliance with 3GPP standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in C/C++ for embedded network applications

• Good understanding of 5G architecture and protocols

• Familiarity with 3GPP specifications

• Understanding of embedded systems running on Linux or RTOS

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Strong analytical and debugging skills

• Experience with version control systems (Git, Gerrit)

• Experience using build automation tools (CMake)

Will be an advantage

• BSc/MSc/PhD in Telecommunications, or Computer Science

• Experience with Python for automation and test scripting

• Competence in MATLAB or equivalent simulation tools

• Hands-on experience with Wireshark or QXDM

• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate or higher
