About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Strategic Sales and Business Development team within Tieto Caretech’s Data Driven Care business unit. Data Driven Care is focused on driving growth in the Nordic and selected European markets, and its product portfolio includes Lifecare Data Platform, Lifecare Open Platform and Lifecare Resource Optimization.

The role supports the sales and business development of our Data Driven Care solutions in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), which is one of our new markets. This is a new position within our organization. You will be at the core of the new market expansion journey which is a top priority for Tieto Caretech. You will get a unique opportunity to open new markets and work with the very latest software products in the whole Care IT industry.

 

In this role, you will lead the market development efforts in the DACH region, including go-to-market partner collaboration, positioning and product marketing, sales pipeline building and new sales generation. Your target customers will be private and public healthcare providers including university hospitals, large clinical hospitals and regional stakeholders. You will report to the Head of Strategic Sales & Business Development and work closely with product management and other key stakeholders.

 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling enterprise software solutions to large, complex organizations preferably in the healthcare domain. This is a specialist sales role, combining product and domain expertise with strong business acumen.

In this role the key responsibilities will be

  • Business Development:
    • Identifying customer needs, presenting our products and their value propositions, positioning our products to different customer groups and GTM partners
    • Acting as a bridge between sales, customer (or partner) and product teams
  • Solution Selling:
    • Presenting and demonstrating Data Driven Care’s products, matching their spearhead use cases to the needs and focus areas of the customers
    • Addressing customer pain points and aligning offerings with their business objectives
    • Leading customer proposal preparation together with our partners ranging from small scale proof-of-concept engagements to multi-year/MEUR opportunities
  • Relationship Building:
    • Establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
    • Acting as a trusted advisor to our partners and end customers

We are looking for someone with

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in B2B/public sector sales or business development of enterprise software solutions with proven track record of results
  • Excellent understanding of customer business domain (healthcare IT solutions)
  • Good understanding of sales and public procurement processes
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and align views with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Result-oriented approach with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Full professional proficiency in English and German
