The Role
The Head of Marketing and Communications is responsible for shaping and executing the global marketing and communications strategy for Tieto Tech Consulting. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Business Leadership Team, the role focuses on strengthening the company’s market position, brand, and growth priorities through clear strategic direction, stakeholder alignment, and effective activation across the organization.

The position sits at the intersection of commercial growth, brand positioning, and internal engagement, ensuring that Tieto Tech Consulting presents a clear, compelling, and differentiated voice in the market.

The role leads a global team of approximately five marketing and communications professionals across key areas such as external and internal communications, as well as global marketing. It ensures that resources are aligned to initiatives delivering the greatest business impact, balancing strategic priorities across markets, offerings, and stakeholders.

The role works closely with regional marketing and communications leads, who report into their respective markets and play a critical role in driving regional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Define and own the global marketing and communications strategy aligned with business priorities
  • Strengthen Tieto Tech Consulting’s brand positioning across priority markets and segments
  • Drive thought leadership in areas such as AI, data, and cloud

Go-to-Market & Growth Enablement

  • Partner closely with sales and business leaders to drive awareness through targeted, locally adapted campaigns and initiatives
  • Translate strategic priorities into impactful messaging, campaigns, and content
  • Support regional marketing and communications leads with pipeline generation, key deals, and strategic customer engagement

Communications & Corporate Positioning

  • Own the internal and external communications strategy, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact
  • Manage media relations, PR, and executive communications
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on messaging, positioning, and reputation management
  • Strengthen change communications by clearly articulating the rationale behind strategic and organizational changes, ensuring employees understand not only what is changing, but why and how it supports the company’s long-term direction

Digital & Content Excellence

  • Oversee the development of high-quality, data-driven content across channels, leveraging both internal teams and external partners
  • Lead digital marketing, social media, and communication platforms, ensuring effective use of agency capabilities and marketing technologies
  • Ensure consistent and compelling storytelling across markets

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a global MarCom team
  • Build a high-performing, collaborative, and forward-leaning MarCom organization and network
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices across regions

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing and/or communications leadership role, ideally within a technology or consulting environment
  • Strong track record of building brands, driving market visibility, and supporting commercial growth
  • Experience working across geographies and in complex, matrix organizations
  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content, and modern communication channels
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, with experience using KPIs to measure impact
  • Experience in transformation and crisis communications
