About the role
At Data-Driven Care we are reshaping healthcare and social care services by providing our customers with data- driven solutions and cloud data platforms. Our teams in Product Development function consists of high-end professionals working in data science, data engineering, data modelling, data advisory, cloud solutions, security and software development. We are a growing international team of talented, continuously improving experts. With us you get to work with latest technologies, innovative new solutions and create wellbeing for the society.
As a Senior SW developer, you will have a key role in developing and designing backend and micro services for our Lifecare Data Platform in Azure. The role is not a typical backend or data role. You’ll build production services running on Kubernetes and design data pipelines in Databricks, often in the same sprint. You don’t need to be an expert in everything – but you should be solid at least in one area and genuinely curious about the other. You will be working in diverse team consisting of top-level developers and other experts.
We are looking for someone with
- Strong foundation on Java and JVM-based development
- Experience with Spring Boot and REST API design
- Hands-on with SQL and relational data modelling
- Exposure to Scala or Python in data context
- Familiarity with distributed processing concepts (especially Apache Spark)
- Azure, Databricks and Terraform experience are a plus
- Previous experience in developing data-driven solutions to health and social care is highly valued
- Passion to continuously learn new things and aim higher
- Passion to build great products and solve complex customer problems
- Confidence to take responsibility, honesty and openness as a member of a team
