Job Description
As a research data analyst, you’ll communicate thought-provoking and original analytical findings to the marketing and media teams of Thinknum as well as to a client base that includes over 150+ clients across major corporations and investment firms. You have exceptional attention to detail, a good understanding of business / financial knowledge, and an eye for discovering insights. You should have demonstrable experience with quantitative analysis / statistics either through college coursework or professional experience.

What We Need You To Do
- Providing Thinknum's editorial team with thought-provoking and analytical findings rooted in alternative web data
- Authoring and supporting the creation of reports and features with insights rooted in alternative web data
- Be comfortable learning new systems and data technologies
- Conducting quantitative analysis
- Ability to pitch and defend findings
- Authoring articles for industry publications
Qualifications
What You Bring To Thinknum
- Exceptional writing skills
- Ability to pitch ideas
- Thorough attention to detail
- Solid quantitative analysis expertise
- Knowledge of databases (e.g., SQL), or interest to get up to speed quickly
- Advanced Excel skills
- Hard-work and diligence (we work at least 50 hours/week and have a daily morning meeting at 8:30 am)
- Strong secondary research / information discovery and aggregation skills
- Excellent communications and presentation skills
- Technology market research / industry analysis experience is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree strongly preferred
What we are NOT looking for: If you are primarily interested in AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Research, or Management this job is not a good fit
Interest in finance and software are a plus
Proficiency in Excel is a plus
