Job Description

The Challenge

At Think.iT, we believe that technology leaders are defined by their ability to model and transfer the best practices of their craft to any technology professional—from entry level developers, to senior software engineers.

We’re looking for a confident and people-centric Lead Software Engineer with experience in machine learning and AI to join our team. Your challenge: take ownership of our Data Science and Machine Learning bootcamp, and prepare our growing team of data scientists for successful integration with international hiring partners.

80%: Your key responsibilities

  • Nurture your own subject-matter expertise and people leadership skills by investing daily in the next generation of North African technology leaders

  • Coach our data scientists through their Data Science and Machine Learning bootcamp, with a focus on readiness for successful remote integration with international hiring partners

  • Own and build upon our existing Data Science and Machine Learning bootcamp by identifying areas for improvement, refinement, and addition

  • Coach our data scientists through their day-to-day responsibilities with their international partners, including both technical and interpersonal challenges

  • Collaborate with our Learning + Innovation team to define a roadmap for the post-bootcamp Think.iTeer experience, including personalized growth plans, opportunities for continuous technical learning, and community engagement

  • Collaborate with our Talent Acquisition team to strengthen our pipeline and hiring experience for data science and machine learning candidates

  • Set an example of responsible technology leadership: Think big, but hold yourself accountable for the quality and ethical impact of your work—and lead your team by example with humility, work ethic, and a growth mindset.

The other 20%: Up to you! What are you passionate about? Where do you see opportunities to contribute?

  • Experience with Agile Software Development Techniques and Tools, TDD, and pair programming

  • Professional written and verbal fluency in English, French and Tunisian Arabic

  • You are a self-starter. You take initiative, are naturally curious, and can learn new things quickly while continuing to deliver value on the job.

  • You are a shipper. You respect deadlines, accomplish your work autonomously, and have experience setting a positive example for self-management to your team.

  • You are a team player. You are a good communicator, and enjoy creating an inspiring workplace for others.

  • You are people-centric. You are excited by a role focused on the mentorship and guidance of junior Software Engineers, and are confident giving and receiving feedback to help others grow.
