Job Description

The Revenue and Sales Performance team’s mission is to enable sales and marketing teams to perform better, hit goals faster, and lead smoother sales processes – in a compliant and sustainable way. 

The Director, Revenue and Sales Performance, will lead the team and aim to continuously improve towards the following goals:  

  • Improving workflow and accuracy of reporting 
  • Automating any possible selling or non-selling tasks 
  • Aligning, evaluating, and integrating all tech stack tools 
  • Creating development, compensation, and incentive plans 
  • Overseeing sales process optimization and implementation 

RESPONSIBILITIES

General  

  • Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing and IT to understand all revenue systems and the complete lead-to-cash processes. 
  • Collaborate and influence stakeholders across organizations to adopt new ideas and proposals. 
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement.

Data and Systems Architecture 

  • Build end-to-end processes and systems to enable our business partners in making informed decisions. 
  • Architect, deliver and manage the data, analytics and reporting infrastructure required by the Finance team to effectively deliver flexible and scalable management reporting and data analyses across all aspects of our business and financial activities. 
  • Collaborate with source system owners, finance analysts and IT partners to design, build and maintain rich, high granularity, curated datasets, transforming and integrating data from multiple sources to drive business understanding and insights. 
  • Lead Finance team’s Master Data Management initiatives, ensuring a comprehensive and internally consistent data architecture and consistent adherence to compliance, data security, includes coordinating Finance team inputs to system and data architecture decision making for cross-functional platforms, principally ERP, CRM, Product and Customer Data Management. 

Business Reporting and Analysis 

  • Provide actionable recommendations and facilitate data-driven decisions with sales leadership through exceptional business partnering and strategic thinking. 
  • Provide visibility and performance tracking to the business (Bookings, pipeline metrics, sales efficiency and productivity KPIs, dashboards). 
  • Data visualization & EDA to summarize data insights and draw conclusions to guide business decision making. 
  • Experiment and develop robust metrics and framework to measure success. 
  • Lead executive analyses, strategies, and deliverables.  
  • Partner with top sales management to provide data, analysis and insights to support sales growth initiatives and find new opportunities. 

Sales Operations 

  • Work with sales and cross-functional leadership across the business to execute the GTM approach for each market/segment. 
  • Lead the operational support that drives the performance of each segment and channel towards repeatable, predictable motions. 
  • Execute and manage core sales operations processes such as expansion planning, target setting, leading indicator management, and forecasting. 
  • Evaluate adoption of core sales processes, reporting, and systems and identify opportunities to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Responsible for managing quota setting and plans across all revenue functions to ensure that financial objectives are optimized and allocated to all sales channels and resources through the quota program. 
  • Responsible for rep commission calculations and reporting.  
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Product, and Legal) to ensure that all deals align with corporate strategies and guidelines. 
  • Provide deal structure guidance to sales; identify and recommend changes to deal structures in response to observed deal financials. 
  • Guide sales teams in the deal flow process and ensure smooth handoffs; drive enhancements to the lead-to-contract processes and policies. 

Team Management 

  • Manage risks and opportunities, build and lead team, translate strategic and operating plans into meaningful direction of projects, goals, priorities and activities. 
  • Partner closely with cross-functional team members on priority go-to-market initiatives execution. 

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of prior experience operating and executing on data-driven growth strategies for technology companies, whether through work in strategic consulting, sales operations or business finance role. 
  • Experience working with Salesforces, ERP solutions (Netsuite / Workday), Stripe. 
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills (Python, SQL, PowerBI) 
  • Ability to form scalable, long-term innovative solutions to build for the future. 
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sales strategies and processes. 
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data to inform sales performance metrics and reporting. 
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sales compensation plans and incentive programs. 
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment and to maintain executive presence and perspective in the midst of changing timelines and rapid decision-making.  
  • It is critical this person possess a high comfort with ambiguity, strong problem structuring skills, analytical acumen, and excellent communication skills in presenting business insights to executives. 
  • Superior soft skills including communications, influencing, prioritization and stakeholder.
