You are a team player who cares about customer service. As an Insurance Billing Specialist with Miller's Health Systems, you are responsible for handling the insurance calls for assigned claims and financial transactions, billing various third party payors, and reconciliations that relate to the centralized billing as assigned.  You use your previous experience and your attention for details to help achieve department goals. Your duties will include:

• Make telephone calls to follow up on third party payer payments as assigned claims by Insurance Manager
• Enter the documentation in the collection log of the resident in the proper facility in the AR system
• Review claim to ensure all information on it is accurate and up to day and re-bill to insurance company as needed upon follow up conversation.
• Call to follow up on claims that did not pay properly from the payer and work with them to get reprocessed for accurate payment.
• Maintain working papers in good order.  Keep filing up to date for easy access.
• Maintain good communication and follow up with facilities and home office folks as it regards to the principal duties and responsibilities.
• Perform other tasks, not to interfere with the above responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor.

The ideal candidate would have an Associates Degree or experience with medical benefit verifications and be proficient with 10-key calculators and data entry.

Candidate should have previous Insurance Billing or Accounts Receivable experience.
Candidates must be proficient with common computer programs, data entry, 10 key calculators.
