Job Description
Thenamaris LNG invites high caliber professionals to apply for the position of Compatibility Officer in the LNG Fleet Group.
The Compatibility Officer is responsible for undertaking ship and shore compatibility (SSC) studies for the LNG fleet under management. The Compatibility Officer also supports the Marine Superintendents in the LNG Fleet Group on a variety of operational tasks, including but not limited to monitoring, reporting, and providing input on opportunities to improve a vessel’s compatibility with the requirements of relevant ports and terminals. The position involves communication with a range of stakeholders, including ports, terminals and the vessel. The objective is that work undertaken by the Compatibility Officer will contribute to the continuous improvement of the SSC-related instructions and procedures in the Company’s Safety Management System.
The position is permanent and is based in Athens (Vouliagmeni) Greece.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- University degree in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering or related discipline. Alternatively, a Marine Academy degree combined with sailing experience as a junior deck Officer.
- Previous exposure to SSC studies and OPTIMOOR analyses.
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
- PC literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communications skills, and a customer-oriented approach.
- A results-orientation, with strong organizational and time management skills.
