We are seeking a casual experienced Food Process Worker to join our Midas Mediterranean team. Casual, full-time, or part-time hours can be negotiated for the right candidate.

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operating and monitoring food processing equipment and machinery to ensure smooth, efficient production
  • Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
  • Sorting, washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables to quality standards
  • Accurately measuring and weighing ingredients according to recipes and production requirements
  • Preparing food products by assembling and mixing ingredients as directed, including meat products
  • Packaging finished products following labelling and packaging guidelines
  • Conducting quality checks on raw materials, finished products, and packaging
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations including correct food handling and use of PPE
  • Collaborating with the team to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Reporting equipment malfunctions, product defects, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing is essential
  • Physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 25kg boxes daily
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Good written and verbal English, basic maths, and ability to use weighing scales and convert measurements
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (rare weekend or public holiday if needed)
  • Exceptional attendance and punctuality are a must

Additional Information

Mandatory Requirements

  • I'm Alert Food Safety Certificate (free online, must be completed before starting)
  • Valid working rights in Australia (passport and visa grant letter for international workers must be provided with application)
  • Forklift Licence, must be willing to obtain within 30 days of commencing employment.
