The Analyst, Sustainability will support sustainability strategy, innovation, and cross-functional initiatives across The Wonderful Company’s portfolio of businesses. Reporting to the Manager, Sustainability & Innovation, this role will own discrete workstreams within larger projects, including research, analysis, synthesis, and strategic recommendations that help the team translate sustainability opportunities into practical business action.

This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

  • Own meaningful workstreams within high-impact sustainability strategy and innovation projects, including but not limited to:
    • Sustainability Strategy & Innovation: evaluate and prioritize sustainability opportunities based on strategic relevance, operational feasibility, environmental impact, and business value
    • Corporate Sustainability & Communications: develop credible sustainability narratives, communications strategies, stakeholder-facing materials, and supporting frameworks for internal and external audiences
    • Market Analysis & Insights: conduct research and analysis on external sustainability trends, markets, technologies, regulations, and peer activity to inform strategic decision-making
  • Develop expertise and execute on projects across our core topics: energy, packaging, farming, water, transportation, and carbon
  • Turn complex sustainability topics into clear recommendations, narratives, and executive-ready materials
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to advance projects from concept to implementation
  • Help advance the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of sustainability at The Wonderful Company

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar role requiring research, analysis, and recommendations
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to analyze data and create polished, executive-ready materials
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, agriculture, environmental science, business, public policy, or a related field
  • Ability to synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative information into clear insights, recommendations, and narratives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for business, technical, and senior stakeholders
  • Self-starter with an ownership mindset, track record of taking initiative, and ability to drive workstreams independently
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous problems, partner with stakeholders, and develop practical recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to connect detailed analysis to the bigger picture
  • Coachable and intellectually curious, with comfort asking questions, receiving feedback, and incorporating that feedback into work
  • Genuine interest in building a long-term career in sustainability, responsible business, agriculture, food, or related fields
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required, including occasional day trips to California’s Central Valley

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or other analytics and data visualization tools
  • Experience with financial modeling, business case development, or sizing market opportunities
  • Experience in sustainability, CPG, agriculture, food, or consumer brands
  • Prior exposure to sustainability topics such as corporate responsibility, clean energy, packaging, sustainable farming, water stewardship, carbon, certifications, or consumer-facing claims

Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
