Job Description

Functions include but are not limited to the following. Must be able to move freely between tasks depending on workload, season, etc.

 

• Oversee the inventory management process, including defining departmental strategies for inventory levels, reviewing material usage, and tracking aging, slow-moving, or obsolete materials

• Manage purchasing and inventory processes to ensure materials, parts, chemicals, and equipment are available to support operational needs

• Process, review, and approve requisitions and purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner

• Manage warehouse and inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, issuing, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and reconciliation

• Oversee inventory and processing for harvest equipment, fleet parts, agricultural equipment, rental equipment, replacement parts, and agricultural chemicals

• Maintain working knowledge of agricultural chemicals, including proper inventory tracking, storage, handling, and safety requirements

• Develop, train, supervise, and direct warehouse and inventory team members to ensure productivity, accountability, safety, and accuracy

• Manage cost, budget, and productivity reports to monitor performance, control expenses, and identify improvement opportunities

• Support budget planning, expense tracking, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives related to purchasing, warehouse, inventory, and equipment parts operations

• Utilize Oracle EBS, OBI, or similar ERP/reporting systems for purchasing, inventory control, reporting, and data accuracy

• Apply Lean principles to improve warehouse processes, reduce waste, increase efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Lead and support projects related to warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, purchasing processes, system improvements, and operational efficiency

• Maintain and develop strong customer service relationships with internal ranch, shop, fleet, harvest, and operations personnel

• Ensure timely follow-up on requests, shortages, purchase orders, vendor issues, inventory discrepancies, and operational needs

• Promote and maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient work environment

• Ensure all work is completed with strong attention to detail, accuracy, follow-through, and accountability

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Agriculture, Operations, or related field preferred 

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in purchasing, warehouse, inventory, or equipment parts operations required 

• Experience with budgets, cost controls, productivity reporting, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy preferred 

• Experience with fleet parts, agricultural equipment, harvest equipment, rental equipment, and agricultural chemicals preferred 

• Project management and Lean process improvement experience preferred 

 

SPECIFIC KNOWELDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs

• Knowledge of purchasing, warehouse management, inventory control, cycle counts, and materials management

• Experience in agricultural, fleet, or equipment parts operations preferred

• Familiarity with Oracle EBS, OBI, or similar ERP/reporting systems preferred

• Knowledge of agricultural chemical inventory, storage, handling, and safety requirements preferred

• Strong budgeting, analytical, organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Ability to lead, train, and develop warehouse and inventory team members

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Pay Range: $84,000 - $95,000. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
