The FIJI Logistics Transportation team is seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Planner to be responsible for planning and managing shipments from FIJI Water sites to customers and intra-company shipments. The Transportation Planner is involved in daily operational tasks while also being involved in some weekly and monthly team-based duties. This position will provide support to the rest of the Transportation team and help drive continuous improvement.

We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

  • Plan and coordinate shipments from FIJI Water warehouses to customer warehouses
  • Plan and coordinate inter-company transfer shipments
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure inventory is available for upcoming shipments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipment issues with carriers including delays, missed pickups, late deliveries, returns, damages, etc
  • Monitor shipment status to ensure carriers are scheduling appropriately
  • Track and trace shipments in transit from FIJI Water warehouse to the customer
  • Communicate with other internal FIJI Water departments, warehouses, or other third parties to ensure FIJI Water customer orders are delivered on time and in full
  • Compile data from internal or external sources and publish internal reports
  • Track and report carrier costs and carrier performance
  • Lead carrier scorecard review meetings to review performance and provide feedback and coaching
  • Identify and escalate issues to Transportation Manager as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management preferred
  • Minimum of 1-year professional work experience; experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) including Oracle Transportation Management preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems including Oracle
  • Experience in data manipulation and visualization, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and novice skills in Power BI preferred
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to examine, summarize, and effectively present data to a group
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Self-driven with the ability to find or design ways to improve the status quo
  • Ability to recognize errors and solve problems independently
