The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for, but not limited to overseeing, maintaining, performing machine setup/start-ups, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance and Predictive maintenance service. Duties include leading a maintenance team on a shift(s), delegating maintenance activities to his crew, planning and scheduling work utilizing Oracle, maintaining of production equipment and systems, motor control equipment i.e., motors, pumps, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, hydraulics, electromechanical.
Pay range: $26.00-$29.00
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on processing equipment, including aril extractors, conveyors, sorters, packaging machines, and refrigeration units.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, motors, bearings, and sensors.
- Maintain and calibrate processing and packaging machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct general facility upkeep, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical maintenance.
- Ensure that lighting, ventilation, and cooling systems are functioning properly.
- Maintain compressed air and water filtration systems for processing and sanitation.
- Follow all company food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Keep records of maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements.
- Follow preventive maintenance Program schedule to reduce unexpected breakdowns.
- Follow and enforce all OSHA safety regulations to prevent workplace injuries.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Receive, prioritize, and complete work orders for maintenance and repair tasks
- Performed other maintenance tasks as needed
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Understanding of electrical systems, up to 480V.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Sanitary Welding knowledge preferred, TIG/MIG
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme cold.
