Job Description
- Overall leadership responsibility for the P&L of the Commercial and Monitoring business
- Development of a growth plan for aggressively increasing revenue within 3 years
- Development of a strategic plan for using the Commercial and Monitoring business as complementary pillars for Suterra’s agricultural product lines and customers
- Leadership of cross-functional teams in operations, chemistry, regulatory and sales to develop new products and enhance existing products and services
- Personal ownership of business development and sales relationships in existing and new markets to drive revenue and new product strategies
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Curiosity and a passion for continuous learning
- Demonstrated general management business skills, with a facility and understanding of all critical functions required to deliver a high-quality manufactured product or professional service
- Excellent relationship-building skills, especially with B2B customers, backed up by solid written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in complex project management, and the ability to integrate technical problem-solving into a plan for executing in the field
- Business-first mentality and a bias for action
- Autonomy to perform at a high level with limited supervision, and professional maturity to interact with executives and individual contributors simultaneously
- Ability to work and interact globally across different time zones, languages and cultures
- Ability to travel up to 40% when necessary
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytic, scientific or quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering)
- 10+ years experience in a related field or industry, especially where the manufacture of a physical product, or delivery of a professional service, plays a critical role
- 3+ years experience desired in an external-facing role that serves B2B customers or professional clients
