Through the Wonderful Career Center (WCC), we are offering a free Technical Opportunity Program (TOP) to train community members across Kern County in launching their careers into higher-paying roles with companies like the Wonderful Companies and our Industrial Park Partners. It is our goal that 100% of trainees who graduate from the program secure employment with the support of the Wonderful Career Center services.

The Technical Opportunity Program (TOP) is a free two-week training program that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed for high-paying roles through technical training.  You'll gain practical experience in electrical and mechanical skills through lectures, videos, and hands-on lab activities. Plus, you'll be paid while in training, starting at $19.60 an hour. If you're ready to invest in your future and work hard – this training is for you!   

Upon completion of training, graduates will assume full-time positions at Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds located in Lost Hills, CA. 

• 18 years of age or older 

• Commitment to complete the 2-week training program 

• High School Diploma/GED preferred  

Program Dates: 10/22/2024 - 11/1/2024

Program Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM 

Must go through interview process to be selected to participate in program.
