The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for ensuring accurate billings, overseeing cash application of all customer accounts, and reviewing deductions. This role will also oversee and supervise the daily operations of the accounts receivable team to meet operational goals and objectives. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will manage a team of two to four AR Specialists and/or AR Analysts by setting priorities, providing continual feedback and guidance, and resolving escalations.

Job Description

  • Manage the AR team, developing internal processes within the department to ensure adequate collection efforts.
  • Oversee the overall aging of the customer including the prompt collection of invoice and deduction balances.
  • Manage the performance of AR Specialists and AR Analysts, providing constructive feedback and growth opportunities to build knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Monitor, streamline, & refine processes to ensure optimal performance and recommend & automate solutions
  • Work with the Senior AR Manager to analyze process innovation, driving loss elimination across AR.
  • File claims and coordinate with sales team and customers to identify and validate bill-backs and deductions.
  • Research, identify, and resolve any escalated issues concerning high exposure accounts
  • Research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status and communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate stake holders.
  • Track payment plans and raise concerns with the credit team.
  • Interface with customer service, sales, and senior level management in communicating and resolving issues.
  • Audit and review AR team daily payment application to invoices, credit, and debit memo.
  • Develop and execute action plans for delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain correspondence with customer and ensure proper reconciliation between WPA and the customers aging.
  • Research and analyze customer deductions to measure the effectiveness of AR Operations.
  • Create detailed reports and present findings to Senior AR Manager and AVP of Accounting on the status of accounts receivable, including aged invoices, deductions, and the collections efforts made by the AR team.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes and automated solutions to manual work and errors.
  • Own crop year end and calendar year end audit packages.
  • Perform adhoc research and reporting projects as needed by the Senior AR Manager and AVP Accounting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, concentration in Business, Accounting or Finance, preferred.
  • Must be professional, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with speed and accuracy in a fast- paced environment.
  • 4-6 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be able to recognize improper billing and process applicable corrections
  • Must be self-motivated and work well within a team.
  • Must have a continuous improvement mindset and initiate improvement projects.
  • Superior leadership, problem solving, team building, and decision-making skills.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels across the organization.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and provide a well-defined summary of information to the Executives. 
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Excel, MS Word, and Power Point.
  • Oracle, Demantra, EDI and Itrade knowledge a plus.
  • Order to Cash experience a plus.
  • Ability to read small print on consistent basis.

Pay Range: $81,000-86,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
