We are looking for a dynamic Regional Manager for Puerto Rico, United States Virgin Islands & British Virgin Islands that resides in Puerto Rico to join our FIJI Water, JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, Landmark Wines, and Lewis team. The Regional Manager works independently and with distributors to manage top account relationships and to drive distribution and volume in the on-premises business, Retail, and Independent Retail channels. This person must be fully bilingual will be responsible for all on-premises business, retail and independent retail of FIJI Water, JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, Landmark Wines and Lewis Winery in Puerto Rico, Unites States Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands. The Regional Manager, will report to the General Manager of the Caribbean Region.

Job Description

  • Develops relationships, builds brand presence, and executes key sales strategies to develop new accounts and grow existing business.
  • Plans and executes our water and wine portfolio programs in conjunction with distributor.
  • Prepares and presents proposals, profit planners, business reviews and staff trainings in key wine and water accounts to help drive sales.
  • Achieves assigned distributor depletion and shipment case goals and revenue goals for all brands.
  • Achieves Department Goals for New Accounts and Focus Programs.
  • Works with, trains, and motivates distributor on company brands.
  • Calls on accounts both independently and with the distributor sales force.
  • Expand current portfolio footprint in existing accounts and survey potential accounts for incremental placements prior to decision maker meetings.
  • Drive visibility in independent retail accounts and support instore tastings to grow business and partnership.
  • Forecasting FIJI Water shipments by distributor for each ship to location +/- 5% variance each month.
  • Manage Gross Revenue per case for budgeted amounts per case for our portfolio of brands.
  • Manage budgets for field marketing costs that were approved (i.e., listing fees, rebates, retailer ads, menu prints and special event including wine dinners);
  • Responsible for individual T&E each month and total spend for year against the Budget.
  • Monthly meeting with Distributor Trade Development and Pricing Coordinators for account accuracy and program period tiers and quantity programs.
  • Monthly Distributor Meetings to review goals, new accounts, lost accounts, incentives, and program periods for distribution gains.
  • Regional Manager is responsible for the execution for the entire portfolio both water and wine in National and Regional Hotels, National and Regional Restaurants, Nightlife, Concessions, Gaming, Country Clubs and Fine Wine Shops among others.
  • Create Programs and Incentives for distributor partners, track progress against the programs and verify results.

OTHER IMPORTANT DUTIES:

  • Expected to spend 85% In Trade Time to include travel, distributor management, direct report management, account solicitation and maintenance.
  • 15% Administrative and Office Time
  • Works within assigned POS and Travel budgets managing company funds professionally.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Computer Skills - intermediate to advanced capabilities within MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
  • Work and participate in trade shows, events, wine dinners and conventions to include nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work independently, multi-task, work with high energy and engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, excellent presenter
  • Must possess valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, be able to lift 50lbs. with no restrictions and move heavy cases/objects.

Qualifications

  • 3 years prior experience in a similar role, with a successful track record in strategic marketing and team management.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in marketing, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of and commitment to the wine business.
  • Possesses a proven history of success in the beverage industry or related field.
  • Have strong connections/relationships with key restaurants, hotels and other On-Premises or Independent Retail accounts in the industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Budget management expertise.
  • Results-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and openness to change.
  • Ability to travel min 30% of the time, including overnights and weekends when necessary.
