The Production Supervisor will closely monitor production and coordinate with the leads to avoid overproduction and maintain quality standards by improving OEE through validation of SWS process and identifying areas of opportunity and corrective actions.  This is a key position during our season and has the responsibility to lead, make quality and safety top of mind and be part of a culture that is immersed in continuous improvement.

Job Description

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of fresh personnel, as directed by the Production Manager of Fresh
  • Observe packaging and grading operations to ensure quality and conformity of packaged products to quality standards.
  • Monitor/Assess the performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Compile/input information, such as production rates and progress, and materials used, so that production/status reports can be generated.
  • Adhering to production schedule quantities and minimizing waste gaining the highest utilization possible.

Qualifications

  • Ability to see the “big picture” business perspective, but is willing to “roll up their sleeves” and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and assistance to all levels of employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently. 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle software.
  • Able to gather summarize and report KPI’s accurately and effectively
  • Proactively and consistently works on improving performance, problem-solving and facilitation skills
  • Looks to implement team mentality and work past roadblocks
  • Able to mentor subordinates for successful results, disciplining them when necessary.

Pay Range: $67,000-$73,000, and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
