Responsible for procurement functions directly associated with the Company's needs for indirect materials and services, capital projects, and select production materials and services. These products and services are to be secured at cost quality, and delivery competitive levels consistent with Company policy and performance standards. The position is further responsible for the timely planning, scheduling of receipt and inventory control of the products and services as assigned.
Job Description
- Initiates purchase orders and amendments as requested by managers, department heads, requisition creators, and dashboards indicators; arranges for submission and inspection of sample products as required. Requires close coordination with plant engineering/production to assure timely execution of product and services procurement activities.
- Secures and analyzes quotations; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers as requested; recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
- Interviews and confers with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics inventory control and management, negotiates prices and delivery terms with guidance from management for assigned responsibilities.
- Work with QA and suppliers to resolve production, design, quality, and/or delivery problems.
- Execute updating of confirmations spreadsheet with hyperlinks daily.
- Use Excel spreadsheets to drive purchases and determine present and future material needs as assigned.
- Work with suppliers to receive credit for defective materials
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of PC software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment and with external partners.
- Must have excellent skill set in the following areas: attention to detail, organization, problem solving and creative thinking.
- Must be self-motivated and able to achieve high impact in a fast paced environment.
- Oracle experience a plus.
Pay Range: $20.00-$28.00
