The Senior PR Associate will support a dynamic Team of public relations professionals with identifying current trends and conversations, identifying relevant partnerships and brand loyalists, developing fun and vibrant pitch angles, and building quality lifestyle and trade media relationships. This individual will partner with the Brand Team and our larger internal creative agency to develop content calendars across social platforms and play a crucial role in to shaping our integrated and evolving approach to communications. The Senior Associate will help showcase, monitor, and maintain our iconic and healthy brands on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook - posting, commenting, and engaging with fans along the way.

Job Description
- Ideate and execute integrated consumer-focused communications plans that span media relations, social media and in-person activations for America’s #1 Nut
- Leverage current events and trends, and identify brand amplification opportunities through media outreach, social media, events, and partnerships
- Support trade and consumer media relations efforts, including drafting timely pitches and press releases to generate earned results for our 5 In-Shell and 7 No Shell pistachio varieties
- Cultivate the organic social strategy for The Wonderful Company’s portfolio, showcasing the lifestyle, people, and properties behind our brands through monthly social media calendars
- Develop internal newsletter articles and other collateral about our products and campaigns
- Assist with media monitoring and coverage clipping, preparing seasonal and quarterly recap reports
- Work with our internal creative agency and brand partners to oversee photos, artwork and media clip files
- Provide analysis on the impact of our campaigns and initiatives through ongoing monitoring and reporting
- Help coordinate and execute on-the-ground logistics for media activations, trade shows, in-person events and virtual events
- Develop seeding/mailers to showcase our latest products and get them in the hands of influencers
Qualifications
- At least 2- 3 years of experience in public relations, social media community management, or content development within an agency or corporate environment, preferably supporting a consumer product
- Experience developing and executing an overall communications plan
- Proven ability to articulate ideas clearly, write compelling press releases, create engaging content, and effectively convey messages to a variety of consumer audiences
- Passion for media relations and social media with an ability to secure branded coverage
- Strong foundation of PR principles, strategies, and best practices
- Self-motivated and solution-oriented team player that takes ownership of projects, can work independently, and communicates project status effectively
- Understanding of the extensive support and time required for activities and events
- Experience with AP Style and knowledge of standard PR tools: Cision, PR Newswire, Businesswire, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel as needed
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations
Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000 (this is an hourly role $30-$35/hour + overtime),and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
