Job Description

As the Supply Chain Manager Oceania, you will take charge of our comprehensive supply chain operations, including warehousing, customs clearance, and trucking. Your strategic mindset and exceptional leadership skills will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain processes and ensuring seamless end-to-end operations. You will also oversee the processing and sourcing of Australia/New Zealand/Oceania orders for FIJI Water. You will provide high-standard white-glove service to our internal and external customers and seeks to meet their requirements in every interaction.

In addition, you will ensure that orders are accurately processed, tracked, delivered, and billed efficiently. Furthermore, you will monitor the Distribution and Transportation related requirements to successfully maintain compliance accuracy and find areas to increase cost savings. This role will preferably be based in Sydney, Australia (but we can consider other options like Auckland, New Zealand). 

Here's what you will be doing:

Execute

Collaboration

  • Act as the primary contact for all Customer and Supply Chain related responsibilities for the Australia, New Zealand and Oceania markets
  • Ensure that on-time monthly delivery is 95% and that order/case fill rate is 98.5% or above
  • Support overall supply chain planning, sales operations and expansion projects
  • Communicate with Sales team via telephone/email in-order to provide information about products and services
  • Coordinate and Communicate with the Sales/Distribution/Transportation/Finance leaders located in US regarding customer concerns and complaints

Customer Service

  • Manage/Enter daily incoming orders for Australia, New Zealand and Oceania
  • Answers incoming customer calls regarding product problems, service questions and general customer concerns turning frustrated clients into repeat customers impacting the company’s bottom line
  • Ship confirmed daily outbound orders and conduct month end closing
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism and working to establish a positive rapport with every customer
  • Maintain order log and details

Distribution

  • Work with warehouse staff to ensure that any inventory moves are being properly recorded and executed
  • Liaise closely with warehouse service provider to ensure shipping accuracy – shipment quantity/SKU’s ordered/requested delivery dates are 98% on target
  • Product is moved on FEFO (First Expired First Out) basis
  • Ensure all returned and damaged product are administered by the warehouse service provider according to FIJI Water’s guidelines

Transportation

  • Prepare and closely manage daily order status report by tracking the status of open orders
  • Respond with any Return Material Authorization request and address the issue in a timely manner
  • Evaluate exceptions with deliveries and make the proper judgment on how to respond
  • Work with the Transportation Director to negotiate truck rates for outbound shipments

Continuous Improvement

  • Cross train and understand other functions and departments and act as backup, when necessary, especially for UK, EMEA and Asia region
  • Continuously search for areas in which to provide best practices while eliminating unnecessary steps in the process
  • Be proactive about anticipating potential problems and provide solutions ahead of time
  • Work with department leads to ensure that standard operating procedures within the relevant departments are updated
  • Promote self-growth using resources and initiatives provided by the company

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in a similar logistics or supply chain role (understanding customs clearances, exports documentation, warehousing, trucking and the overall ocean trade)
  • Hands-on / roll up your sleeves approach, working with the team to produce high quality work products
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Organized and focused on attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and sound business judgment; ability to anticipate issues and resolve them
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and detail oriented
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (including outstanding presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively at all levels of the organization)
  • High energy, balanced leader capable of driving change in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across functional lines and thrives on adding value
  • Meet all deadlines/deliverables as we are a fast-paced environment with strict timetables to ensure we complete all assigned work
  • Process Improvement orientation in order to drive process improvement projects to streamline our manual processes enabling more time for analysis and value-added work
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to manage/balance priorities both for him/herself and team
  • High level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Previous experience with Client Billing and/or Oracle EBS is a benefit
