The Conveyance Supervisor provides leadership and guidance to the conveyance, shipping, and receiving department (forklift, yard goat drivers and clerks). Ensure quality and service standards are met through supervision and coordination of plant wide shipping, receiving & conveyance functions (transporting materials and fruit bins), and personnel. Develops performance metrics and KPI’s for all operations. Coordinates activities of employees within the department, and insures proper record keeping of all inbound and outbound shipments in shipping and receiving.  The supervisor is expected to support all departments within supply chain, and cover other assigned departments as needed. This supervisor will work the 3rd shift which is from 10pm-6:30am. 

Job Description

  • Supervises and trains team to ensure they are aware of standard procedures and proper documentation.
  • Supervises a head count of 50 employees during POM fresh season and 15 employees off-season.
  • Manage finished goods inventory in an orderly and accurate manner.
  • Maintains performance results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Reviews compensation actions; enforcing policies and departmental procedures, ensuring honest and ethical conduct always while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of all inbound receipts, including but not limited to: lot information, Bill of Lading, invoices etc.
  • Schedule team members according to business needs, reducing cost, effective OT management.

Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Experience managing teams
  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving or in a warehouse supervisor role
  • Ability to submit requisitions for equipment repairs through Oracle
  • Ability to supervise in all departments within supply chain
  • Computer literate in Microsoft office
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to work all shifts as required and weekend work as required by management

Pay Range: $67,000-$73,700 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
