We are looking to fill the Facility Maintenance Technician position. The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is a vital position for maintenance activities and quality control process, coordinating on-site work in addition to third-party service providers to perform routine maintenance. Under general supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator ensures that all maintenance issues and requests are addressed in a timely manner and acts as a liaison between the company, technicians, and vendors.

• Work with contractors for outsourcing major maintenance needs
• Perform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair, plumbing, painting and basic electrical
• Maintain building operations and ensure that the facility is safe and functional at all times; fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Complete scheduled monthly checks through the building
• Regularly inspect and monitor building system, tools and materials to ensure it remains safe, secure and well maintained
• Maintain and keep log of maintenance for basic HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• Respond to all facility inquiries and complaints, support the assessment of problems and coordinate corrective action in addition to following up for customer satisfaction
• Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment
• Ensure maintenance safety protocols are met
• Change filters as needed
• Check lawn sprinkler heads during spring and summer to ensure they are working properly
• Clean coils on ice machines & HVAC Units
• Move office furniture and supplies as needed tear down and rebuild modular furniture.

Education:

Specialized commercial plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration and electrical vocation experience in or after high school

• Must be able to use tools and equipment related to these fields with expertise acquired through extensive experience and/or specialized training

Knowledge:

• Must give and receive simple instructions and respond to questions
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strong ability to verbally and electronically communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external colleagues
• Work independently
• Drive a manual transmission vehicle
• Must perform data recordings/record keeping operations, determining what changes need to be made to existing records
• Be able to perform routine mathematical computations requiring a knowledge of fractions, decimals and/or percentages
• Must read and interpret complex materials
• Must file and retrieve from existing filing system

Licenses

• A valid driver’s license is needed.
