JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery is located in the Paso Robles region of California's Central Coast. We operate with a desire to make world class wines that reflect the unique soils and climate of the area. We are seeking a Cellar Worker I to join our Wisteria Production team. Under general supervision, work assignments include: racking, pumping, clarifying and blending of juice and wine. You will also be responsible to operate and care for filters, pumps, presses, hoses and other cellar equipment. You will help to check the temperature of tanks during fermentation, stabilizing and storage.

• Performs volume calculations for wine blending and wine movements
• Transfers, racks, filters, and blends wines as needed
• Mixes tanks as needed for cold stability
• Gases head space on partial tanks on a weekly basis
• Makes chemical and yeast additions to wine as needed
• Sanitizes cellar area equipment and tanks
• Samples tanks as needed
• Monitors and replenishes cellar inventory of supplies
• Monitors temperature of wine tanks
• Cleans, maintains and organizes barrels as needed
• Assists in set up and clean up duties, including cleaning of labeler parts, hosing down floors, and storing packaging materials
• Assist with still wine barrel work
• Assists with all harvest duties
• Occasionally responsible for hand labeling, stacking and removing bottles from cellar walls

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Prior harvest cellar experience required
• COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption

Pay Rate: $16.90 an hour and will include potential overtime pay during harvest season (August - November).
