Our Corporate FP&A team is looking for a talented and collaborative team member to join their team as a Senior Financial Analyst.  This highly visible team member will have the exciting opportunity to partner directly with the Operations teams in Tucson, AZ and Los Angeles, CA.  This position prepares analyses to understand the business drivers of financial results.  It also takes an active role in forecasting for every step our product takes in its journey from the source in Fiji to our customers worldwide! This position reports to the Manager of FP&A – Operations. 

This position will be based at our HQ Office in Los Angeles and working a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office.

Job Description

  • Work closely with Corporate FP&A and Commercial Finance on consolidated monthly financial reports, monthly forecasts, and annual budgets​
  • Lead development and execution of annual logistics budgets and quarterly forecasts, focusing on underlying business drivers, key financial and operating metrics, and sensitivity analysis
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports including variance commentary to director-level business partners
  • Prepare logistics commentary for monthly financial reports, monthly forecasts, and annual budgets
  • Prepare and maintain annual transfer pricing calculations
  • Take large quantities of financial data and analytic results and condense them into a coherent story with clear, easy-to-understand conclusions and implications
  • Utilize Oracle to develop value-added reporting tools
  • Understand financial operations of the business and educate others inside and outside the Finance/Accounting group about the financial performance of their respective area
  • Focus on key performance indicators and/or ongoing process improvement opportunities
  • Assist with preparing support for annual financial audit for the inventory, COGS, and logistics areas
  • Review and enter monthly journal entries for product costing and logistics accruals

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in FP&A or Accounting; experience in CPG industry or Operations is a plus
  • Robust and meticulous analytics and strategic thinking capability, with a keen eye for continuous improvement
  • Ability to perform financial and operational analysis, including ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required; knowledge of VBA, JDE, Oracle, and/or Microsoft Power BI is a plus
  • Hands-on / Roll up your sleeves approach, working with the team to produce high quality work products; we are a detail-oriented organization and will drill to invoice-level data when needed
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts
  • Ability to interact regularly with department leadership and senior executives, and must be able to do so in a confident and professional manner
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption

Pay Range: $95,000-$100,000 and may include a discretionary bonus.  Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
